Product Overview
Achieve superior year-round climate control and maximize your crop yields with our professional-grade Greenhouse Aluminum White Shade Cloth (50%–55% Reflective). This advanced thermal crop canopy layers durable, mono-oriented HDPE (high-density polyethylene) insulating fabrics with a highly reflective aluminized outer layer. Engineered to actively battle extreme ambient fluctuations, it keeps greenhouses significantly cooler on scorching days, provides reliable frost barrier protection during cold nights, and prevents severe radiation or sunscald damage to high-value flowers, potted plants, and vegetables.
Unlike standard shade fabrics, this white aluminum netting utilizes specialized metallized film strips coated in a robust anti-oxidation protective layer to ensure maximum reflectivity and outdoor longevity. The unique open-weave configuration improves internal light diffusion by scattering shadows, scattering up to 65% of diffused light across your plant canopy to stimulate uniform growth and enhanced photosynthesis.
Key Features
- 50%-55% Optimal Shading Power: Limits direct light transmission to 45%-50% while opening up a high 65% diffused light transmission.
- High Thermal Reflectability: Highly reflective aluminum layer bounces away intense infrared heat rays rather than absorbing them, minimizing greenhouse structural stress.
- Premium Mono-Oriented HDPE: Spun from single-direction high-density polyethylene for maximum tensile strength, ensuring it easily endures severe wind loads and torrential rains.
- Anti-Oxidation Protective Coating: Metallized films are specially sealed to prevent structural breakdown, peeling, or dulling, providing a solid 5-year UV resistance rating.
- Multi-Seasonal Crop Protection: Retains radiation heat energy at night to act as a defensive shield against light frosts, freezing weather, and morning dew.

Professional Installation Instructions
For optimal results, pull the reflective fabric across your hoop house framework ensuring that the shiny, metallic side faces up toward the sky. Pull the cloth tight so it comfortably covers your structure from hipboard to hipboard, or drape it loosely over open field crops needing protection. Secure the fabric edges every 24 to 36 inches using heavy-duty fabric snap clips. For maximum high-wind security, tuck the edges and secure them inside an aluminum lock channel using spring wiggle wire. (Installation hardware clips, lock tracks, and spring wires are sold separately).
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q1: Which side of the aluminum shade cloth should face upward?
A: Always install the fabric with the shiny aluminum side facing out toward the sun. This metallic outer layer acts as a mirror, actively deflecting radiant heat and direct ultraviolet rays away from your greenhouse framework to keep your crops cool.
Q2: How does this fabric help diffuse light inside my hoop house?
A: Standard shade cloths cast hard shadows which can cause uneven plant development. Our aluminum fabric features mono-oriented metallized HDPE fibers that break up direct solar rays, scattering up to 65% of light thoroughly. This eliminates dark corners, ensures lower leaves receive light, and prevents fruit irradiation damage.
Q3: Can I leave this aluminized shade cloth on during the winter?
A: Yes! While it is highly prized for summer cooling, it provides exceptional winter and nighttime utility. The layered insulating fabrics trap thermal radiation rising from the ground, helping to protect delicate potted plants and winter vegetables from light frosts and morning dew.
Q4: Will the aluminum layer oxidize or peel away over time?
A: No. Our premium manufacturing process coats the metallized film with a special anti-oxidation layer. This blocks chemical wear, humidity, and direct air exposure from dulling the surface, guaranteeing a dependable 5-year UV resistance and an even longer operational life expectancy.
